Gameweek 6 Preview

A look ahead at Gameweek 6 in Eliteserien with games taking place Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday 4th July

Start v Viking  (score draw)

Start still chasing that win, they set up defensively last time out with a back 5 for the first time. Viking got their first win on Wednesday night, Berisha looking lively and getting a goal.
There have been 14 goals in Start's three home games so far, so I'm expecting goals here, I don't think they will be as defensive.
At least 2 goals in all five Viking games so far, 3 or more in 3 of them, so I don't think it will be low scoring.
Both teams have also been winning lots of corners with the way they play. Start especially get a lot of crosses in to the box, so looking at corners here too.

Bet builder: Over 2.5 goals, Goal in each half, over 9.5 corners, Viking draw or win double chance.

Goalscorers I like: Skålevik(Start) Berisha(Viking)

Vålerenga v Aalesund (home win)

Another winless team in Aalesund, and they were poor in midweek against Mjøndalen. Vålerenga got a late draw at RBK, and should be confident at home. Should be goals in the game, Both teams have scored in every game so far, and Aalesund will keep attacking I'm sure.
Vålerenga quite like a booking, they make a lot of tactical fouls. Aalesund leave themselves a little open to counter at times, so Dønnum and Sahraoui have good counter pace to take advantage.
Nordli and Castro both were rested on Wednesday from the start, so they will be back and firing for Aalesund.
Shala has been delivering nice free kicks and corners recently, Vilhjalmsson could take advantage of that today.

Bet Builder: over 2.5 goals, both teams to score, over 30 points card index, Vilhjalmsson anytime

Goalscorers I like: Vilhjalmsson(Vålerenga), Nordli(Aalesund)

Sunday 5th July

Bodø/Glimt v Brann (home win) NAP of the weekend

Top of the league, 19 goals in 5 games, Glimt are flying and it probably won't stop this weekend. An extra days rest, they will be on the attack from the off. Expect corners, goals and probably Brann trying to stop them with fouls. Kolskogen, Acosta, Forren, Barmen and Kristiansen all likely booking candidates in my eyes.
Brann are third and have scored in every game, but they shouldn't be a match for the attacking threat of Glimt. They probably will look to play on the counter, so they could get a goal, Bjørkan bombs forward for Glimt, so Koomson could find space on the counter.
Any of Hauge, Junker and Zinckernagel likely to score, maybe even all 3.

Bet Builder: Glimt to win, over 1.5 goals for Glimt, over 9.5 corners, goal in both halves.

Goalscorers I like: Zinckernagel(Glimt) and Koomson(Brann)

Molde v Mjøndalen (home win)

Molde dropped their first points on Thursday, but they should bounce back at home. They average just under 3 goals a game, Mjøndalen might make it hard defensively though. They will probably switch to a back 5 this game.
Injuries mean Molde might be weak at the back, so Ibrahim can score for his 5th game running for sure.
Molde will dominate possession, I think Omoijuanfo will start, he is a big threat in the air and in behind. They have scored 3 goals five out of the last six times against Mjøndalen, so I think 2 or more goals is likely for them again.

Bet Builder: Molde to win and score 2 or more, over 5.5 corners for Molde, Omoijuanfo anytime, 2 or more yellow cards for Mjøndalen.

Goalscorers I like: Omoijuanfo(Molde) and Ibrahim(Mjøndalen)

Odd v Haugesund (draw)

Odd will struggle for goals without Børven, Haugesund haven't scored more than 2 in a game yet. I think this could be a tight one.
It's a hard one to pick a winner, and neither side particularly aggressive or win many corners, so I think this match is best avoided.
If there is to be a goals, Sandberg for Haugesund is in good form and hits set pieces including penalties.

Bet Builder: Under 3.5 goals, under 10.5 corners, goal in both halves(NO)

Goalscorers I like: Bakenga(Odd) and Sandberg(Haugesund)

Sandefjord v Sarpsborg (Away win)

Sarpsborg have no points, but I think this might be their day. They have been getting closer, just need to put chances away. They have only scored 3 goals.
Sandefjord have one goal from open play so far this season and haven't scored in three games now, so this game might be a 1-0 or 0-1, or 0-0.
Sarpsborg do win a lot of corners, but not scoring from them. Sandefjord play for set pieces too, so can maybe play corners market, favouring the away team.
Sandefjord have been quite card happy too, so perhaps something on the bookings.
I think the way Sarpsborg played on the first half on Thursday, they can win this one.

Bet Builder: Sarpsborg win or draw, Sarpsborg over 4.5 corners, over 30 card index

Goalscoarers I like: Gibson(Sandefjord) and Larsen(Sarpsborg)

Strømsgodset v Kristiansund (Away Win)

Godset still not looking good this season, Kristiansund got a draw against Molde and a real attacking threat. Godset an extra days rest, and a game here that I expect goals.
It's a fixture that has produced goals recently, 3 or more in the last five occasions, and Pellegrino is back firing for KBK and scored 5 already this season.
Corners as well pretty likely here with the style of play from both.
Since a 0-0 in gameweek 1, Kristiansund have scored 13 goals in the four games. Godset have scored in both their home games so far, only once though.

Bet Builder: Over 1.5 goals for Kristiansund, over 2.5 goals in the game, over 9.5 corners, Pellegrino to score anytime

Goalscorers I like: Maigaard(Godset) and Pellegrino(Kristiansund)

Stabæk v Rosenborg (score draw)

The final game of the weekend should be very good. RBK have ben better in the last two, Stabæk looking better as well. I think there will be goals, Børven will almost certainly start for RBK, and Helland will be a likely assistee for him with his crosses.
Young Hansen got 2 on Wednesday, he looked lively, so does Vetlesen, and Edvardsen for the home side.
RBK get a lot of corners, Stabæk will attack at home, it has the making of a very good game with hopefully goals.
3-1 and 3-2 the games they played last season, more of the same please.

Bet Builder: Over 2.5 goals, over 10.5 corners, both teams to score, goal in both halves

Goalscorers I like: Hansen(Stabæk) and Børven(RBK)

NAP of the weekend is Glimt to beat Brann and to score 2 or more goals.
